Scholarship Description: This Scholarship is co-funded by the Sydney School of Education and Social Work and Faculty of Science to assist students studying Master of Teaching (Secondary) in Mathematics and/or Science (Physics) at the University of Sydney.


Eligibility:


A. Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, New Zealand Citizen, or Australian Permanent
Resident.
B. Applicants must be graduates or graduands of the Faculty of Science at the University of
Sydney.
c. Applicants must be currently enrolled full time in Master of Teaching (Secondary) at the
University of Sydney.
D. Applicants must be studying the degree to teach either Secondary:
I. Mathematics (single or double methods), or
II. Science (single or double methods, specialising in physics).


Benefits: a. The Scholarship is valued at $6,000 per annum and is tenable for the normal full-time
duration of the degree, up to a maximum of two years.
b. The Scholarship annual value will be paid in two equal instalments after the census date of
each semester.
c. Deferral of the Scholarship is not permitted without the prior permission of Dean of Faculty
of Arts and Social Sciences and it is not transferable to another University school, faculty or
university.
d. The Scholarship will be offered subject to the availability of funds.
e. No other amount is payable.
