Scholarship Description: The Leicester Law School offers a variety of scholarships throughout the year. These may be based academic merit, positive community contribution and/or financial need.

Eligibility: To be eligible for this scholarship you must meet the following requirements:

1. University of Leicester Canadian Excellence Scholarship:

A. Candidates must have submitted an application for one of the undergraduate law degree programmes (including Senior Status LLB Law) and received an offer before submitting an application for a scholarship (if an application form is required. See website for details).
B. Candidates must be classified by the University as international/overseas students for fee purposes.
C. Candidates must have Canadian nationality or residency to be eligible for Canadian Excellence Scholarship.
D. Candidates must not be in receipt of any other undergraduate scholarship for International Students. If successful with two or more scholarships, only the scholarship of the larger value will apply.
E. The scholarships are awarded in the form of a reduction in the tuition fees payable.
F. Where a scholarship is awarded to a candidate who is also eligible for a fee discount, the discount will be calculated after the scholarship reduction to the tuition fees payable has been made.
G. Scholarships are only available for students studying on a full-time basis who are commencing their course in September 2017
H. Where a scholarship is awarded to a candidate and the candidate then does not take up their place in September 2017, it cannot be rolled over to subsequent years.
2. University of Leicester Malaysian Excellence Scholarship:

A. Candidates must have submitted an application for one of the undergraduate law degree programmes (including the LLB JD Pathway) and received an offer before submitting an application for a scholarship (if an application form is required. See website for details).
B. Candidates must be classified by the University as international/overseas students for fee purposes.
C. Candidates must have Malaysian nationality or residency to be eligible for Malaysian Excellence Scholarship.
D. Candidates must not be in receipt of any other undergraduate scholarship for International Students. If successful with two or more scholarships, only the scholarship of the larger value will apply.
E. The scholarships are awarded in the form of a reduction in the tuition fees payable.
F. Where a scholarship is awarded to a candidate who is also eligible for a fee discount, the discount will be calculated after the scholarship reduction to the tuition fees payable has been made.
G. Scholarships are only available for students studying on a full-time basis who are commencing their course in September 2018

Benefits: Leicester Law School is offering a tuition fee reduction of 10% to all Canadian and Malaysian undergraduate students commencing studies at the School in 2018. This will be deducted from each year of academic study.
