Scholarship Description: The University of Melbourne is pleased to offer A. O. Capell Scholarship for Australian students for the academic year 2017/2018. Applicants must be applying to start a new full-time master’s and doctoral course at the University of Melbourne in Australia.
This scholarship aims to assist high-achieving and highly motivated students at a University of Melbourne.

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for scholarship:
To be considered for a Graduate Research Excellence Scholarship, you must:
A. be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, either:
B. have applied for and meet the entry requirements for a Master or Doctorate by research degree at the University of Melbourne, or be currently enrolled in a research degree at the University of Melbourne and have at least 12 months (full-time equivalent) of candidature remaining, and have not already completed a research qualification at the same or higher level as the course for which a scholarship is sought, and intend to study as a full-time student unless there are compassionate or compelling circumstances that prevent you from undertaking full-time study.

Benefits: The Scholarship will cover the following:
A fortnightly living allowance for up to two years for students undertaking a Master by research degree, or three and a half years students undertaking a Doctoral degree. The allowance may be indexed annually and includes limited paid sick, maternity and parenting leave; Relocation grant for students moving to Melbourne from interstate or from outside Australia.

Application: If applicants have submitted an application for the Graduate Research Scholarships, they will be automatically considered for the Graduate Research Excellence Scholarships.
