Scholarship Description:

The University of London is offering distance learning scholarships for students of UK. These scholarships will be awarded to 18 students to study undergraduate programme.

Am I Eligible?

Nationality: UK Students (London Residents) 
Level of Study: Undergraduate degree
Subject(s): All offered subjects
College/University:  University of London
Entry Criteria: Applicants must be: 
  • Resident in London
  • Under 25 years old
  • Able to demonstrate that without the scholarship they would not be able to undertake an undergraduate degree programme.
  • Applicants must show need based evidence, such as the statutory provision for a part-time tuition fee loan. This may include existing financial commitments or other obligations such as being a carer or a single working parent.

Applicants of full first degrees (e.g. / BA / BSc / LLB) or Diploma of Higher Education programmes must satisfy:


- General Entrance Requirements (category G within Qualifications for Entrance Schedule) and

Specific programme requirements where applicable (e.g. Mathematics competency) and
English language requirements.
- The following English language proficiency tests are considered acceptable evidence of proficiency in English for all undergraduate programmes provided they have been awarded within the past three years:


+Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English.
+City & Guilds International ESOL 8984 Mastery award.
+(IELTS) International English Language Testing System when an overall score of at least 6 is achieved with a minimum of 5.5 in each sub-test.
+Pearson Test of English (Academic) score 54 or above, with at least 54 in both Reading and Writing elements.
+University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES) Business English Certificate Level 3 only (BEC 3 award).
(TOEFL) iBT Test of English as a Foreign Language overall score of 87 or above with at least 21 in both Reading and Writing Skills sub-tests and at least 19 in both Speaking and Listening sub-tests.

Value:  Full scholarship of £7,000 per recipient.
